Typ 1-diabetes är en sjukdom du har hela livet, men det finns bra behandling att få. Diabetes är ett samlingsnamn för några sjukdomar som alla ger för mycket socker i blodet. LADA (engelska: latent autoimmune diabetes in adults) är en diabetesform som liknar typ 1-diabetes. Även LADA är en autoimmun sjukdom. Den drabbar vuxna och kan ibland förväxlas med typ 2-diabetes.
